Coach Russ is a lifelong educator and coach. He leads all of our age groups and serves as head of the Parent Board. A former swimmer at Riverview, he revived the Buccaneers program after the Covid-19 pandemic and has grown the program to where we are today, including spearheading our USA Swimming certification. In addition to his coaching duties, he mentors our High School Volunteer Coaches and he is also a certified MHSAA Official in both swimming and diving and track and field.
Coach Ryan is the current Head Coach of both the Riverview High School Varsity Girls and Boys programs. A swimmer and runner, he oversees our practice schedules and workouts with input from all our coaches in order to get the best out of our swimmers. Coach Ryan is also a certified MHSAA Official in both swimming and diving and track and field. He was also named the MISCA Zone 4 Coach of the Year in 2024.
