Advanced Group                                                                                                                                                                                  

The Advanced Group is for High School and early College swimmers. The focus here is on advanced racing techniques, body control, stroke refinement, race pacing, endurance and gaining speed.

Intermediate Group

This group is typically comprised of advanced Elementary and Middle School swimmers. Group focus will be technique-oriented for all four competitive strokes. Continued development of starts and turns. Swimmers will be introduced to swimming terms and expected to know/learn how to read a pace clock. The focus here is on technique refinement, building endurance and gaining speed.

Novice Group

This group is for elementary age swimmers who are able to swim at least one length of the pool (25 yards) unassisted. Group focus will be to learn proper freestyle and backstroke technique and incorporate proper locomotion for freestyle and backstroke practice regularly. Freestyle and backstroke turns will be introduced. Proper breaststroke and butterfly technique will be taught. 

 

Middle School Group*

 

This group is only offered during the Winter session and is only for swimmers competing during the MHSAA Middle School season.
