LCSC Coho Swimming Group Descriptions
Bronze (ages 8 & U)
Entry Requirements
1. able to swim 25 yds. on front and back
2. desire to improve water safety and swim skills
3. ability to work with others
Graduation Goals
1. 100 IM with legal start (dive) and turns
2. 200 free with legal start, bilateral breathing, and flip turns
3. able to use pace clock for send-offs
Silver (ages 9-14)
Entry Requirements
1. able to swim 25 yds. on front and back
2. desire to improve water safety and swim skills
3. ability to work with others

1. 200 IM with legal start (dive) and turns
2. 500 free with legal start, bilateral breathing, and flip turns
3. able to use pace clock for send-offs and pace work
Gold (ages 14 & U)
Entry Requirements
1. 200 free with legal start and flip turns
2. 200 IM with legal start and turns
3. able to use pace clock for send-offs and pace work
Graduation Goals
1. 400 IM with legal start and turns
2. 1650 free with legal start, bilateral breathing, and flip turns
3. 200 of each stroke with legal start and turns
Platinum (ages 14 & U)
Entry Requirements
1. current IMX Score in USA Swimming
2. commitment to 5-6 practices per week plus dry land
3. able to execute underwater kicks for each stroke to 10m
Graduation Goals
1. 400 IM with legal start and turns
2. 1650 free with legal start, bilateral breathing, and flip turns
3. 200 of each stroke with legal start and turns
4. participation in LCSC community service events
Senior (ages 14 & O)
Entry Requirements
1. able to swim 400 IM/500 free
2. commitment to represent team at designated USA Swimming events
3. able to use the pace clock for send-offs and pace work
Graduation Goals
1. 400 IM with legal start and turns
2. 1650 free with legal start, bilateral breathing, and flip turns
3. 200 of each stroke with legal start and turns
4. organization and participation in LCSC community service events
