Kelton swam for Eastern Michigan swim team where he made the MAC squad 4 years in a row.  His highest place was 3rd in the 200 yard breast stroke. After his swimming career ended he turned to coaching.   He began at a team named Aquademics, a minority team in Ann Arbor; there he placed swimmers at the State meet while coaching at the Michigan swim camps in the summer. From there he coached at the Ypsilanti Otters where the team set 50 club records and placed 11th in the 12 and Under State meet and had multiple swimmers place at the open states and zone meets.  He rose up from a high school coach at Ann Arbor Huron where they won the Div 1 state title and the following year they were State runner ups.

Coach Kelton was Coach Sean's son's coach and helped him to become the State Champion in the 100 breast in 2010.

Quincy Kelly Assistant Coach
Coach Quincy Kelly has been coaching swimmers for almost 18-years, starting as a volunteer coach for her daughter’s team in Heidelberg, Germany, then on to Schofield Barracks in Hawaii, and most recently with the Irvine Novaquatics in California.

As a child Quincy swam with the Dolphins of Marin from age 8 through High School, but then her association with swimming ended as she joined the U.S. Army after graduation, and remained with the military service, in the field of Aviation, first in Flight Operations, and then she went to helicopter flight school and spent the remainder of her career as a Huey and Blackhawk pilot before retiring in 2002. After retirement her family was stationed in Germany, which is where her swimming career began, with a U.S. Military swim committee, which included numerous bases around Europe that offered the American children an opportunity to compete.
Coach Quincy moved to Michigan to be close to her daughter and her family, to include two grandchildren. She is looking forward to working with the Sailfish swimmers and families!
