MOCK MEET - JANUARY 13TH! Mark your calendars!
Hello swim families!
With two great meets coming up open to all swimmers, we are having a mock meet at our home pool for anyone interested on Monday, January 13th! For our Bronze and Silver swimmers, this meet will replace your practice for the evening.
Is your swimmer new and not sure what event they should swim? Try this out!
Is your swimmer unsure of doing a certain event or a certain distance? This would be a great time to give it a try!
Parents, not sure how this meet stuff works? Come see and visit with seasoned parents for hints and pointers. We will have information available on how to sign up for a meet, meet checklist for swimmers and parents, and meet expectations.
Gold 1, 2, and Platinum groups will still have practice but may be asked to help cheer or offer support and help to the swimmers participating in this mock meet.
Bronze swimmers: come at your normal practice time of 5:45. We will help get you marked and ready for your events. You will have a warm up before the meet starts.
Silver swimmers: please come at 5:45 and participate in the meet. Try something new!
Seasoned swimmers: if there is an event you'd like to try, talk with Coach RJ before Friday, January 10th. Parents, if you'd like to be part of the crowd that night, and help answer questions from our newer families, please stay for the meet portion of your swimmer's practice time.
Coach RJ and coaches Mark, Kim, Jess, and Nicole will assign races for your swimmers, but if there are any questions or concerns regarding your swimmer and this meet please reach out. If there is a specific event you'd like your swimmer to try, please reach out. The coaches will be working on an event order and heat sheets to make this mock meet as much like a real meet as we can!
The meet will start at 6:15 and be done around 7 pm. There may even be some fun team activities or a twilight swim as part of your cool down!
