Coach Megan was born and raised in Hutchinson, MN. She started her swimming journey with High Tides as a 7-year-old. She found a love for the sport and continued to swim for High Tides as well as the Hutchinson Tigersharks where she was a part of a Championship relay at their High School State meet in 2011. She continued to swim throughout the first year of college but then had to make a tough decision after a surgery to stop participating in the sport, this led her to the journey of coaching. She helped as an assistant coach for High Tides on and off over the years while she has been finishing up her college degree in Elementary Education as well as helping out the St. Cloud Gators, where her older brother, Cole Bateman, is also a head coach. Megan has gained many years of experience and knowledge with the sport of swimming and is excited to continue her journey as the High Tides head coach.
