Meet entry update

Swimming families,

I have a number of meet information updates on the upcoming events we plan on attending for the rest of the season.  This information has changed (and may change again!) and is a bit confusing so if you have any questions please contact me.

Monticello Summer Splash (Becker MN) -- Friday, July 9th
This is a short course,  one day, one session meet for swimmers of all ages and abilities.  Warmups will start at 3:20pm and the meet will start at 4:30pm. Entries for this meet are due at the end of day tomorrow (Tuesday June 29th).

MN Swimming Last Chance meet (Mankato MN) -- July 16-18
This is a last chance qualifying meet for all swimmers that have races that are not yet qualifyed for state (CH).  The event limit is 6 races for the weekend for each swimmer.  The deadline for entries for this meet has been extended to Monday July 5th.

MN Swimming State Championships Meets
Age Group State (14 and under -- Rochester MN) July 22-25
Senior State (Open ages -- U of M) July 29-Aug 1
The meet information and order of events for these meets has not been finalized yet, so I will update you on these as soon as I hear something.  Currently, the entry deadline is set for July 12th.

State Meet Bonus Races
This is something that has not been done in Minnesota before, and is causing a lot of confusion.  Essentially, if a swimmer has qualifyed for the state meet by the entry deadline (July 12th -- before the Last Chance meet), they are entitled to enter bonus races that they have achieved the Gold standard in,... up to the state meet limit of 6 total races for each swimmer.  They are still eligible to swim their bonus races at the last chance meet, and try to qualify for the State meet.  If they get a Champ time, I can update their entry for the State meet, otherwise, it will remain a bonus swim.  No additional bonus swims can be earned at the Last Chance meet.
