Mission Statement

The mission of SEMS is to cultivate a positive, safe, healthy, and inclusive environment of competitive swimming that is both challenging and fun, where we develop and reinforce good sportsmanship, work ethic, personal responsibility, and motivation for success.

Philosophy 

1. We emphasize competition with oneself first.

2. Sportsmanship behavior is of equal importance to improved performance.

3. Stroke technique development is the cornerstone of a swimmers ability to improve.

4. Swimmers are taught to understand their role in crafting and pursuing their own goals and physical development.

5. Swimmers are prepared and encouraged to compete in all swimming events, distances and strokes.

All members of the team are important to the development and success of SEMS.
