Red Sharks

Our Red Sharks group focuses on learning the essential components of being on a swim team. They learn how to swim safely in a group environment and learn & refine all four competitive strokes, as well as learn the specific starts, turns, and finishes associated with each race. Red Sharks will use fins and kickboards, read and understand a simple set from a whiteboard, and learn beginning intervals using a pace clock. Our Red Shark swimmers participate in Intrasquad meets with our Blue Shark and White Shark groups, and they have the option to attend a couple of larger invites throughout the session. As they progress, our Red Sharks are challenged with different races based on their skill level and what they have been learning and doing in practice. The Red Shark practice group has four sessions each year (Fall, Winter, Spring, Summer).
