** WORLD CHAMPION ALERT **: Emily Escobedo takes Gold in the 200M Breaststroke at the 2021 World Championships!

It is beyond reason that I even have the ability to express myself legibly and coherently, as I have done more cartwheels in the past 30 minutes than in a lifetime. I think my neighbors are worried about all the yelling coming from my house.

Emily swam into a 2:17.85 this morning, BARELY edging out Olympian Evgeniia Chikunova to take the Gold Medal in the 200M Breaststroke. The difference between Gold and Silver was a mere .03 seconds, with Emily closing the race with an incredible :36.00 split for the win.
