The Condors are proud of our highly experienced and knowledgeable staff, whose passion and enthusiasm shines at every practice. Our coaches work hard to develop confidence, nurture impactful relationships, and teach the right technique, mindset and leadership skills that will make each swimmer successful. Coach Jim has been with the Condors since 2009, previously serving as the Head Age Group Coach and Head Site Coach at Westchester Community College. Jim became Head Coach of the Condors in 2012. Prior to joining the Condors, Jim was the Head Coach for 8 years at Penn Trafford Aqua Club in his home town of Harrison City, PA.

- Coached swimmers to qualify for Olympic Trials, Nationals, Junior Nationals, Sectionals, Zone meets

- Guided swimmers to qualify for the Eastern Zone Select Camp, National Diversity Select Camp and National Select Camp
- Selected for multiple Zone team staffs in Metro and Allegheny Mountain LSC's
- 2008 Head Zone Coach for Allegheny Mountain
- ASCA Level 4 certified coach
Bobby Trenczer has been a dedicated member of the Condors community since its inception, where he made a significant impact as a swimmer. After training under Coach Bob Carlucci for 14 years, Bobby went on to swim at West Point and then MIT, where he served as captain of the swim team and graduated in 1997. He returned to New York in 2004 and began coaching at Condors, where he has worked with the Senior and Gold teams. Throughout his coaching tenure, Bobby has proudly guided swimmers who have competed at Junior and Senior Nationals, become Zone Champions, and achieved top 10 rankings in the country, while also setting and continuing to break team records.
After owning and operating a business for 20 years, Bobby is excited to transition to a full-time role for Condors in 2024—fulfilling a lifelong dream. He is also thrilled to have his sons, Zachary and Quincy, as senior swimmers on the team.
Coach Nevill has been part of Condors since 2005. He swam for 4 years on the team, and in 2009 began working for Condors as a lifeguard and swim instructor where he gained a passion for teaching kids how to swim. He also swam for the Clarkstown Swim Team throughout high school. In late 2016, Nevill was brought on as an assistant coach for Pre-Team, Future Stars, Bronze, and Junior Varsity. He finds joy in seeing the kids he taught in lessons make their way up through the ranks of the swim team.
Nevill graduated Stony Brook University with a B.S. in Mathematics and currently works as the team Meet Director and Admin Official (Certified Level N2). While not working at Condors, Nevill is working for Suffern Central School District as IT Support.
Nevill is the lead coach of the Future Stars and Junior Varsity groups.
Mary Fleckenstein
Mary began her swimming career in Poughkeepsie, NY while growing up as an age group swimmer. She has not looked back.
Mary coached for various clubs in Maryland and New York for over 30 years before retiring from coaching in 2020. She has been a swimming administrator for over 20 years, serving in various positions on the Maryland and Metro LSC boards. Most recently, Mary was the Administrative Manager for Metro running the day-to-day operations for the LSC. She is also the Secretary/Treasurer for the Eastern Zone.
Due to her dedication, Mary has been awarded the Eastern Zone Volunteer Service Award and named a USA Swimming Life Member for her work in the swimming community.
She recently moved back to Maryland to be closer to her grandkids. She is also coaching for her daughter's team, Bayside Aquatics, a couple of days a week!
Mary looks forward to working with Condors and helping where she can.
Coach Steve competed on the swimming and water polo teams at Horace Mann School. He continued his water polo career at the University of Pennsylvania, where he was voted Most Inspirational Player by his teammates, and played water polo for several clubs in Philadelphia and New York. Steve has been a member of U.S. Masters Swimming for many years and has competed in Masters meets around the U.S. and in several foreign countries. He also is a mentor to the current University of Pennsylvania men's and women's water polo teams. Steve's favorite coach was Coach Don Galluzi's brother, Lenny. Steve is retired after a 38 year legal career and is excited to be part of the Condors program.
Ray Farrell
Coach Ray is a dedicated educator and coach with a strong background in both academics and athletics. After earning his undergraduate degree at SUNY Cortland, where he was a standout football player, Coach Ray continued his academic journey at SUNY New Paltz, earning a Master’s degree in Teaching. Leveraging his teaching and athletic background, Coach Ray builds strong, trusting relationships with his students and athletes, fostering a positive, motivating environment where individuals feel supported and encouraged to reach their full potential.
For the past 24 years, Ray has been a Physical Education teacher in the Tarrytown Union Free School District, where he has positively impacted countless students with his passion for fitness and well-being. In addition to his teaching role, he has coached football, basketball, and baseball for nearly 20 years, helping athletes develop valuable life skills such as discipline, leadership, and perseverance.
Ray expanded his expertise in swimming through The Race Club and Olympic swimmer Gary Hall Sr., where he and his son, Cal, participated in week-long training sessions in the Florida Keys over four years. Following these experiences, he coached with the New York Sharks for three years, further refining his skills as a swim coach. For the past three years, he has been a coach with the Condors Swim Club, where he continues to help swimmers develop both in the sport and in life.
Matt Kishinevsky
Coach Matt joined Condors in 2006 and was an active member of the swim team. During his time as a swimmer he broke multiple individual team records and was a member of a Metro record relay team. He went on to work as a swim instructor where he taught many of the current swimmers on the team. He was also a part of the Clarkstown High School Boys swim team for 6 years where he was a captain in his junior and senior years. He was a part a previously standing 200 Medley relay for Clarkstown. He earned multiple MVP awards, Section 1 All League Champion for '13-'14 and '14-'15, and Winter Athlete of the Season Award for '14-'15.
Matt graduated from SUNY New Paltz with a B.S. in Psychology with an interest in Neuropsychology.
Matthew is the lead coach of the Bronze group.
Erika Marlin
Erika Marlin started her swimming career at the Lionville YMCA in Pennsylvania at age 5. She moved over to the Golden Ram Aquatics (GRA) USA Swimming team when she was 10, where she stayed until high school graduation. She held the 15-18 year-old 100 breast record at GRA for 3 years, as well as held the record at her high school for the same event for 6 years. She was a 3-time All-American swimmer in high school. She started coaching, teaching swim lessons, and lifeguarding in 2014.
After high school, she competed for Penn State University for 4 years from 2017-2021. She was a 4-time All-Big Ten Athlete and was a co-captain her senior year. During the summers in college, she coached a summer club in Malvern, PA, the Penn State summer clinic, and the Villanova summer clinic. She graduated in 2021 with a BS in Biology with a Genetics concentration and a business minor. She is currently working at Pfizer in the Vaccine Development Program and is an assistant coach for the Silver, Gold, and Gold Elite groups. She has two younger sisters, one a junior on the Penn State swim team, and another who will be a freshman on the team this upcoming school year.
Emil Pallatta (ER)
Coach Emil, or "ER" as most people know him, began swimming for Condors at 9 years old in 2007. Throughout his swimming career, he made numerous Junior Olympic cuts, Zone cuts, and was also on 2 former Condor age group relay team records. He was on the Clarkstown boys varsity swim and dive team for 5 years and earned county and league awards.
After his competitive swimming career, he began working in the Condors learn to swim program in 2016, and has been an instructor and coach ever since then.
Outside of the swim team, Coach ER works for the Clarkstown Central School District as a teacher assistant and lifeguard. He is also the Clarkstown High School Girls Varsity Swim and Dive assistant coach as well as the blue track and field coach for Felix Festa Middle School.
Coach Don helps coach the Gold groups as well as Pre-Team.
Charlie Brown
Coach Charlie Brown brings decades of experience to the Condors Swim Club. From 1980 to 1991, Charlie competed with the Orangetown Sharks, West Nyack Swim Club, Bergen Barracudas, and Tappan Zee Dutchmen. As a swimmer, Charlie was All-County and part of Tappan Zee’s state-qualifying relay team, where he swam breaststroke.
His coaching journey began in 1987, when he served as an Orangetown Recreation Swim Instructor and later as a coach for the Orangetown Sharks from 1992 to 1994. In addition to his swim coaching, Charlie has a rich history of volunteering, including coaching Westwood (NJ) Little League, Youth Basketball, and Wolverines Football between 2007 and 2012. After retiring from a 30-year finance career, Charlie now dedicates his time and energy to the development of swimmers at Condors Swim Club.
Charlie’s extensive experience allows him to foster both technical growth and personal development in every swimmer. His commitment to the Condors team and his passion for coaching make him a valued leader in the club.
Lauren Aylmer
Coach Lauren began swimming at the age of 7. She grew up swimming for a couple different teams in Metro but most notably spent most of her time swimming for the New York Sharks. Through her time swimming, she held the 11-12 50 back & 13-14 200 back Metro Records, was a Futures Championship champion in the 200 back and a US Opens qualifier.
After high school Coach Lauren went on to swim for James Madison University in Virginia where she swam for all 4 years from 2020-2024. She was a three-time conference champion and captain her senior year. During the summers she was the head coach of the local summer swim league team, and during her senior year she helped coach the Virginia Gators Harrisonburg branch. After college, Lauren spent a couple months coaching for NR Aquatics.
Coach Lauren graduated in May 2024 with a BBA in Finance and a minor in Data Analytics. She is currently working at Certified Financial Services as a financial advisor.

Roger Ridenour
Coach Roger was the Head Women’s Swimming Coach at the University of Wisconsin for 3 years, where he had a 17-4 record (.810) in the Big Ten and finished in the Top 20 at the NCAA Championships. Roger was recommended by Doc James Counsilman (Indiana University) to become a full time coach for Bergen Barracudas (1982-2007) in Mahwah, NJ. He was involved in New Jersey Swimming for 30 years. Coach Roger was an ASCA Level 4 coach. He was a firm believer in John Wooden's (UCLA Basketball Coach) quotation: "Show me a great coach and I will show you a great teacher!" As a swimmer, Roger was an Indiana High School State Champion and Record Holder (100 and 200 Free) while earning All-American from Kokomo, Indiana.
