Parents and Family Members - here's how you can help

NDAC REGISTRAR

Dear Swim Families, 

We are often approached by swim families asking how they can help their swimmers. NDAC Board Member: While we depend on our coaches to run the 'wet side' of swimming, the 'dry side' is the responsibility of the parent board volunteers. As a board member you will help manage finances and club operations, plan events and fundraisers, and manage the website. Contact the NDAC Parent Board president Les Olsson at [email protected].

Deputy Treasurer: The Treasurer position is key to our club operations and the longevity of NDAC. From experience we know that it takes one year to 'learn the ropes'. Looking into the future, we would like to have a deputy treasurer to start becoming familiar with the financial operations. Contact Sam Zapadinsky at [email protected] for more information. 

Deputy Registrar: Registrar works hand-in-hand with the treasurer, coach and other members of the board. As it is a key role and required to know many technical aspects including the TeamUnify platform and USA Swimming registration, we would like to have someone start becoming familiar and able to take over as registrar in the next 1-2 years. Meet Officials: Officials are volunteers too! Concession Stand Team Lead: The concession stand at NDAC-hosted swim meets are a great source of income. With our most recent concession stand team lead taking on the position of registrar this year, we're looking for a volunteer to step in! Responsibilities include planning and running the concession stand at our three meets (10/15, 11/26, 12/16-17). While it's best if the concession stand lead is present at all the NDAC-hosted meets, it is not mandatory. Please reach out to Emi Olsson at [email protected] for further information. 

Hospitality Lead: For NDAC-hosted meets, we provide a hospitality room for coaches and volunteer officials. Job responsibilities include planning, shopping, and setting up food and beverages - feel free to add your own personal touch to make all the coaches and officials welcome! 

Raffles Team Lead: This year we are looking for a passionate and creative raffles team lead! We would like to have raffle prizes for our Winterfest Volunteers, and in need of some cool raffle ideas for our spectators. This job allows you to fulfill the mandatory meet requirements outside of the actual meet.
