The MAC Pre Team program is designed to provide a safe, fun swimming experience. Our goals include teaching the core skills needed to swim successfully as well as preparing swimmers for competitive swimming by providing quality coaching.
Who can join?
Anyone 4-9 years old who is:
All swimmers must meet the criteria above.

Pre-Team Levels:
WHITE:
| This level is for swimmers who are able to float unassisted, are comfortable in water and can swim/paddle a few yards but still need assistance. |
The goal is for these swimmers to be able to swim a full length of freestyle demonstrating breathing to the side with strong arms and steady kick, as well as being able to swim a full length of backstroke. These swimmers will also learn the beginning progression of a dive. |
RED:
| This level is for swimmers who are comfortable in the water, able to float unassisted and can swim a full length on their front and back unassisted. |
The goal for these swimmers is to develop a better understanding of freestyle and backstroke, where they will develop more of their strokes and begin doing certain drills to help their kick and body position. Swimmers will also be introduced to Breaststroke as well as further diving progression. |
BLACK:
| This level is for strong swimmers who are able to swim full lengths of freestyle and backstroke, they are able to demonstrate side breathing with steady kick and strong arms. Swimmers have an understanding of breaststroke but it may not be perfect. |
The goal for these swimmers is to develop an understanding of all 4 strokes and be able to swim a full length of each. Swimmers will continue doing technique drills focusing on their arms, kick and body position. |
