Foxjets has a great group of Masters (adult) swimmers!

We boast a vibrant Masters community of adult swimmers, welcoming individuals aged 19 and older with diverse abilities and interests. Whether you're a first-time swimmer, a seasoned athlete, a young adult, a triathlete, or a fitness enthusiast, our inclusive group has a place for you. Affiliated with both Minnesota Masters and United States Masters Swimming, a national organization championing adult health, wellness, fitness, and competitive swimming, Foxjets Masters offers a unique blend of camaraderie, coaching, and a supportive team environment.

Guided by a qualified swim coach, our program tailors a variety of workouts to accommodate different fitness levels, skills, and experiences. The coach focuses on enhancing swimming techniques and improving overall fitness. Many of our members express that the combination of focused coaching and team camaraderie adds an extra dimension of fun and challenge compared to swimming independently. We pride ourselves on being an encouraging and welcoming team, and we invite you to join us on this aquatic journey!

Practice Schedule:

Our practices are held Monday through Friday from 6:00 AM to 7:00 AM at the Eden Prairie Community Center. Attendance is flexible, allowing you to join whenever it suits your schedule. Whether you prefer a couple of days a week, daily attendance, or a varied schedule, our practices cater to your needs.

Cost & Registration:

Participating in the Foxjets Masters program is $50.00 per month, billed monthly, granting you access to all practices. Additionally, members are required to join United States Masters Swimming (USMS) at a cost of $60 on a calendar year basis, which includes insurance coverage and other benefits. A one-time $50 registration fee for Foxjets Masters is also applicable.

To register, visit the "registration" link on the Foxjets website. While the registration process is youth-oriented, you can fill it out to the best of your ability. If you have any questions, feel free to contact Coach Dave Cameron ([email protected]). A coach will reach out to you after registration to address any questions.

Our automated billing system provides the convenience of auto-payments by credit card, billed on the first of each month. If you ever need to adjust your membership, simply notify Foxjets head coach Lloyd Larsen ([email protected]). You can leave at any time without incurring additional fees.

Not quite ready to commit? Email Coach Dave to inquire about joining a practice or two before registering. We also welcome drop-ins for current USMS members at a fee of $10 per workout, payable by check or cash immediately prior to each session. Dive into the Foxjets Masters experience!

About Coach Dave:

Coach Dave Cameron brings 24 years of coaching experience and a deep commitment to Masters swimming growth in Minnesota. His journey in swimming began at Carleton College, where he earned recognition as a 15-time all-conference swimmer in distance freestyle events. Over a remarkable 15-year tenure, Dave led Minnesota Tri Masters, a triathlon-specific training group based in St. Louis Park. It was during this time that he cultivated the confidence for open-water swimming, culminating in his solo English Channel swim in 2004. Since that milestone, Dave has completed another Channel solo, participated in multiple relays, and coached numerous channel swimmers, including guiding his son's team, "The Shrieking Eels," in 2021.

Dave serves as the Coaching Director for Total Immersion worldwide and has been an integral part of coaching and managing at YWCA Minneapolis for over two decades. His coaching prowess extends to the international stage, having coached a swimmer to the Paralympic finals in both 2016 and 2020. With a USMS Level 3 coaching certification, Dave is a driving force behind the success of swimmers at various levels.

In his personal life, Dave, along with his wife Martina, resides in St. Louis Park, where they juggle the joys and challenges of parenting three children—Daniel (16), Lydia (13), and Natalie (9).
