Talbot Masters is pleased to have donated a new lane line+ to the Easton YMCA competition pool. This donation is part of an entire new set of lane lines to be installed prior to our meet season and is valued at $500.

Talbot Masters is pleased to have donated the five lane line tensioners to the competitive pool at the Easton YMCA for an approximate value of $500.

Talbot Masters donated $500 to the Strong Communities Campaign designated for swim lessons.

Our team donated two Colorado digital pace clocks for use by the Talbot YMCA. These clocks are synchronized and replaced one of the older analog "sweep" clocks that hung on the pool wall for years. These clocks have a retail value of $1,881 and masters allows their use by the other swim teams and lap swimmers who use the pool.

Talbot Masters raises nearly $3,000 for our YMCA for sponsoring the YMCA Masters Nationals. Good luck to all the Maryland swimmers competing in this event at the National Swimming Hall of Fame pool in Ft. Lauderdale, FL in April. Way to go team!

The TCY Manta Rays finished their season by hosting a meet at the George Murphy Pool (a short-course meters outdoor facility) in Easton. Although the event was not attended at full-capacity, it was enjoyed by all who came. We hope to present it again next year, maybe earlier in the summer when family vacations are not at their peak. Mary Gibson has signed on as the head coach of the TCY Manta Rays. At age twelve Mary started swimming, qualifying for the 1972 Olympic Trials four years later. Mary was the first woman in Connecticut to break 1:00 in the 100 fly. She went on to swim at Virginia Commonwealth University as a freshman and then transferred to the University of Connecticut as a sophomore. While at UConn she earned All American honors twice.
