All high school officials -- MHSA has changed the Swimming Rules Clinic this year to have a separate clinic for the officials who are working high school swim meets. Please also remember to do the concussion clinic on NFHSLearn.com as it is required to be taken yearly after June. You don't need to send the completion certificates to MHSA, just print a copy for your records. The master swim schedule for 2025-26 season is posted on the MHSA website under the sport of swimming. Day 1 of the Tokyo Deaflympics is complete and Team USA left the pool with 3 golds, a silver, and 2 bronze medals, 2 Deaflympic Records and 2 Deaf World records. The Absorb Learning Management System (LMS) which runs the Safe Sport Courses has scheduled LMS downtime for all SafeSport LMS instances beginning on Thanksgiving Day, November 27th, 2025. This includes athlete protection training -- take your APT early if it will expire August 26-30. During this time, the SafeSport LMS and all associated functions will be inaccessible. This outage may last up to 48 hours. Please communicate this scheduled outage to your members and participants to avoid any training date conflicts.

The Billings Fire Department hosted an award ceremony October 18 honoring two teenage girls and six firefighters for their acts of bravery this year. The girls, Sadie DeBusk and Hallelujah McPherson, were awarded with Citizen Service Medals for helping to rescue a 10-year-old girl and her father who fell off thier floatation devices in Lake Elmo on July 27. The incident involved the rescue of nine people, three of which were hospitalized. DeBusk and McPherson, who did not know each other before this occurred, had been floating in the lake....
