Notes for the Week

 

• Banquet & Senior Celebration tomorrow, Sunday 04/21 [See details below]

• WAVE Sprint into Long Course | Saturday 04/27 & Sunday 04/28

• No Practice | Saturday 04/27 & Sunday 04/28

• The breezeway has been cleared out and new bag hooks are being installed. If all goes according to plan, the work should be completed by Tuesday.

• Apparel, Cap, and Equipment orders are closed and being processed. Items will be distributed as they arrive.

Please use the entrance located under The Fellowship Hall, look for balloons marking the entrance. Looking forward to seeing all of you who sent their RSVP. So much to celebrate!

• We will have a table spreading the word about all the things going on at the Earl Jackson Pool this spring/summer.

Juneteenth Celebration | June 15

• Location: Portia Hines Park

• We are looking for a few people to set up a table for our NSEA Swim Foundation and share all the goodness we bring to The Northside Community!

1922 Water Safety Day | June 29

We are so thrilled to announce a partnership with Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority to bring this exciting day to the Earl Jackson Pool and our Northside Community.   We are teaming up with the Wilmington Fire Department as well to make this a special water safety event.  Stay tuned for more details and opportunities to be involved.

 

A signup will be sent out in May for volunteers to help with this super exciting event.

Lifeguard Certification Class | May 10-12

Check your inboxes - Ben Weber emailed all of you on Thursday with an email full of important information. If you need help or guidance please reach out to Ben, he is terrific to work with and is a fantastic instructor. 

The class will take place at our very own Earl Jackson Pool.

• 6 Graduating Seniors!

• 1 Swimmer at the 2023 Toyota US Open

• 1 Swimmer at the 2023 Speedo Winter Junior Nationals - East

• 12 Swimmers at the 2024 NC Senior Championships

  • 3rd Place Small Team Finish at the 2024 NC Senior Championships

• 4 Swimmers at the 2024 NC Age Group Championships

  • 1 Swimmer at the 2024 NC Select Camp

• 6 Swimmers selected to participate in the 2024 Carolina Crown Challenge

• 39 Swimmers achieved at least a National Age Group Motivational ‘B’ Time Standard
