New England Senior Championships at Brown

Our 5 swimmers from UVAC were: Hailey, Elina, Kenize, Isak, and Sofia. They were joined by 4 swimmers from Dartmouth, representing UVAC (it's an NCAA rule, college swimmers can only compete for a USA club team when out of season): Carin, Thomas, Samantha, and William McClelland.

In the combined Men and Women point standings, UVAC finished 6th out of more than 40 teams in New England! We finished 9th for the Men, and 5th for the women. 

Podium finishes and highlights: 

Kenzie claimed gold in the 50 FR (26.55) and silver in the 100 FR (57.63), and her times in both events qualified her for the Speedo Summer Junior National Championships which will be held in Irvine, CA July 30-Aug 3. Congrats Kenzie! 

Sofia claimed silver in the 50 Breast (33.94) in her first A final appearance! Impressive!

Carinn claimed bronze in the 100 FR (57.85)! Nice job Carinn! 

Samantha finished in the Top 8 in ALL of her events, the 50 FL (29.37 8th), the 50 FR (27.55 8th), the 100 FR (58.18 4th), the 200 FR (2:08.52 5th)!! Great work Sam!

Isak made finals for the first time, finishing in 13th place in the 200 Breast in a new best time of 2:32.52! 

Hailey swam in her first ever Seniors meet, a huge milestone! Way to go Hailey! 

Thomas had a top 8 finish in the 200 Back, finishing in 7th place overall! 

Elina made many finals and acheived several lifetime bests, and her top finish came in the 100 Breast (1:16.86) in 10th place overall!

William had an incredible meet. He took bronze in the 50 FL (25.00). And everything else was gold! 1st place in the 50 FR (23.42), 1st place in the 100 FR (51.92), 1st place in the 50 Back (27.02), and 1st place in the 100 Fly (55.27)! Way to go William!!

Our relays had tremendous success also!

The Mixed 400 Free Relay took bronze (Elina, William, Kenzie, Carinn)

The Women's 800 Free Relay claimed silver (Kenzie, Samantha, Elina, Carinn)

The Women's 400 Medley took bronze (Elina, Samantha, Kenize, Carinn)

And the Women's 400 Free relay took GOLD (Kenzie, Samantha, Elina, Carinn)
