Our 5 swimmers from UVAC were: Hailey, Elina, Kenize, Isak, and Sofia. They were joined by 4 swimmers from Dartmouth, representing UVAC (it's an NCAA rule, college swimmers can only compete for a USA club team when out of season): Carin, Thomas, Samantha, and William McClelland. In the combined Men and Women point standings, UVAC finished 6th out of more than 40 teams in New England! We finished 9th for the Men, and 5th for the women. Two dozen best times were recorded by the 12 swimmers who attended the meet. Saya qualified for the Eastern Zones Championship which will be held in August in Virginia. Many swimmers qualified for Age Group Championships, which will be held at Brown University in July. Paul won the 50 & 400 Free Zyan competed in their first meet in the Long Course and competed in the 50 & 400 Free Breast stroke and the 50 Free. Congrats to Kenzie for winning first place Girls 50 Free in the NE Swimming 15 -18 Championships!
Isak, Cameron, Paul, Aurora, Hailey, Emelia, and Alex all swam their best times. Isak and Emelia placed fourth in the 50-meter freestyle, and Hailey, Aurora, and Paul had top-15 finishes in multiple events. Emelia as a result of her qualifying times was invited to compete at the Eastern Zone Age Group Championships in New York this April. Congratulations to all our champion swimmers!
