BRIDGE 2 BAC [Bridge to Berkeley Aquatic Club] AND COMPETITIVE CLINICS

 

CLINIC REGISTRATION PAGE

 

This program serves a dual purpose as a bridge program between swim lessons and the BAC competitive program AND to further enhance and develop stroke mechanics.

 

ELIGIBILITY: 

Proof of USA Swimming Athlete membership will be required for non BAC team athletes. USA Swimming FLEX membership will be required for new not previously registered athletes, links will be provided in the Clinic Registration platform. 

Must be 4 years of age OR older on the first day of the clinic AND demonstrate all four competitive strokes / skills prior to sign up.  Age limits will be adhered to.

Proof of USA Swimming Athlete membership will be required for non BAC team athletes.

Each clinic swimmer member needs to have a Flex Membership with USA-Swimming.

The cost will be $45.00 per swimmer.

New USAS Members/Athletes
If you have NEVER been registered with USA-Swimming before you are a NEW MEMBER. 
CLINIC swimmers will select FLEX MEMBERSHIP
New members can review a video to understand the registration process. 
A parent will create their own LOGIN UserName & Password Dashboard (account), then they will register their swimmer(s).
Please select FLEX Membership when prompted.

If you already are a USA Swimming Member, please email us so that we can transfer your membership to BAC.

(strong freestyle and backstrokskills prior to sign up). Age limits will be adhered to. 

 

 

BRIDGE 2 BAC (COMPETITIVE READINESS CLINICS)

Instruction will include:

  • Stroke drills and general stroke mechanics (skills to enhance potential transition to competitive program)
  • An introduction to stroke transitions (skills to enhance potential transition to competitive program)

 

COMPETITIVE CLINICS - STARTS AND TURNS PROGRESSION CLINICS

Instruction will focus upon:

  • Sequential steps to teach and enhance competitive start effectiveness.
  • Sequential steps to teach and enhance competitive transitional performance for both flip and open turns.

 

COMPETITIVE CLINICS - LONG AXIS CLINICS (Freestyle and Backstroke)

Instruction will focus upon:

  • Breakouts, body position and general stroke mechanics
  • Sequential steps to teach and enhance long axis effectiveness

 

COMPETITIVE CLINICS - SHORT AXIS CLINICS (Breaststroke and Butterfly)

Instruction will focus upon:

  • Breakouts, body position and general stroke mechanics
  • Sequential steps to teach and enhance short axis effectiveness

 

Refund Policy: There are NO refunds.

Make Up Policy: There will be no make ups offered for missed clinics.
