Step One: Schedule an appointment for an evaluation by clicking here. The main requirement is to be an independent swimmer and make it down the pool length unassisted.
Step Two: Give us a try -- your first two weeks are completely free! (Two-week free trial is for anyone 17 & under who has never had a USA Swimming membership.)
Step Three: After the two week-trial is up, the coaches will let you know which group to register in for formally joining LCAT. Start the process by going to our team's Registration page by clicking here.
2025-2026 Fee Structure (September 1, 2025 - August 31, 2026)
Annual LCAT Team Registration Fee: $60 per swimmer (required at time of joining, and every September thereafter)
Annual USA Swimming Membership Fee: $80.50 per swimmer (required at time of joining, and every September thereafeter)
Monthy LCAT Dues: Billed to your team account on the 1st of every month (discount for more than one swimmer in family)
- LCAT hosts about 2-3 meets per year, bringing in swimmers from all over the NM, El Paso, and Chihuahua areas. We provide food and drinks to meet workers. Each family is billed $15 per home meet to help defray those hospitality costs.
- Family volunteers are essential to making meets run successfully. All families are required to work a minimum number of shifts at every LCAT-hosted meet based on the following structure:
- Minimum of 1 session for Black group
- Minimum of 2 sessions for White group
- Minimum of 3 sessions for Silver, Maroon, and Senior groups
- Shifts can be worked by anyone 13 & over. Unfulfilled shifts will result in a $50 charge per session to the famliy account.
- Team travel trips (such as the Midland trip where the team travels, lodges, and dines together) are billed to the swimmers' families, with the total cost of the trip split evenly across the traveling athletes. Fee typically includes transportation, hotel, meals, snacks, t-shirt, and coach fee. Meet entry fees are usually billed separately.
- Family travel trips (such as State Championships or higher level meets where families travel independently) require that famliies absorb all travel, lodging, and meal costs.
- Many away meets have associated required family volunteer obligations (such as LSC Championship meets). When you sign your swimmer up for an away meet, you are agreeing to this potential obligation.
