Reminder - Call for Board Nominations (Due Thurs, 9/8)

LCAT Families,

 

This is a reminder that we will be conducting Board elections at our Annual Membership Meeting & Picnic on Saturday, September 18. While we have received a few nominations, we are still in need to volunteers to be willing to serve on our Board. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have questions about what it means to be on the Board.

 

As always, we are looking to have a Board that is representative of our membership. Parents of all swim groups are eligible and are encouraged to get involved. Nominations can be made by any member, including self-nominations. Nominations are due by Thursday, September 8 by email to [email protected].

 

Below is a list of the positions that will be on the ballot at the upcoming election. While all positions appearing on the ballot are eligible to receive nominations regardless of whether the position is currently filled, our overall goal is to have ALL of these positions filled at this election.

 

Vice President:  Currently vacant

    

Secretary:  Currently filled by Lara Prihodko

  

At-large Member #1:  New Position

 

At-large Member #2:  New Position

 

At-large Member #3:  New Position

 

The following Board positions are held by individuals whose terms have not yet expired (these positions will not appear on the ballot):

 

President - Jeanette Skow

Treasurer - Chuck Creusere

Safe Sport Chair - Mike Clyons

Athlete Representative - Olivia Pratt

 

The following Board positions are being phased out, effective following the conclusion of this year’s elections (these positions will not appear on the ballot; however, individuals currently holding these positions are eligible to run for other positions on the ballot):

 

LCAT Director - Rick Pratt

Fundraising Chair - John Kutinac

Administrative Chair - Sarah Wellborn

Team Events Chair - Melissa Pratt

Webmaster - Stuart Davenport

Meet Director - Currently vacant

Team Representative - Currently vacant

 

We will also have signups available at the picnic for various committees. As a volunteer-run Board, we cannot effectively support our swim team without the active involvement of our families. There will be opportunities to help out with a variety of roles, to include one-time, short-term, long-term, and recurring committees/events.
