This Week At NTN
Dear NTN Families,
We hope everyone is enjoying a wonderful and festive time of the year! Below is this week’s update for the North Texas Nadadores. Please review the information carefully, as it includes important details regarding upcoming events, schedule adjustments, and team celebrations.

🏅 NTN December Invite Highlights
Congratulations to all swimmers who competed at the December Invite—we saw a tremendous amount of fast swimming and outstanding effort across the board! NTN finished as the highest scoring team, competing against many strong programs and over 500 swimmers in the meet.
Team results included:
- 30 Gold (1st place) finishes – more than any other team
- 22 Silver (2nd place) finishes
- 22 Bronze (3rd place) finishes
A sincere thank you to all our volunteers who helped make this meet possible. Hosting home meets plays a vital role in supporting team operations, and we could not do it without the dedication of our families.
🎁 Annual Holiday Toy Drive
Thank you to everyone who contributed to this year’s Holiday Toy Drive. This long-standing tradition continues to make a meaningful impact, and we are thrilled to know these gifts helped brighten the holidays for others.
We would also like to extend a special thank you to Christina Sheffield for organizing, collecting, and delivering all of the donations.
❄️ Winter Wonderland Celebration – Junior & Age Group Swimmers
On January 6, we are excited to finally celebrate the holiday season with our Junior and Age Group swimmers! Due to the busy schedules over the past few weeks, we were unable to host this event earlier, but we are looking forward to making it a memorable evening.
Swimmers can expect a Winter Wonderland–themed celebration filled with fun, games, and holiday cheer as we come together as a team.
📌 All Junior swimmers are expected to attend practice on January 6.
Additional details will be shared soon.
🏊 January 17 Distance Meet – Block Party Meet
On January 17, we will host a special Block Party Distance Meet for swimmers in AG2 and above. This intrasquad meet will focus on distance racing and provide a unique competitive opportunity for our athletes.
This meet will include:
- 200-yard events of each stroke for 11–12-year-olds
- 1650 freestyle for swimmers 13 & over
Very few meets in North Texas offer these events, and we are excited to provide this experience. No outside teams will be participating, and the meet is expected to last two hours or less.
We want all eligible swimmers to participate. Please note that there will be no regular practice on January 17 due to a high school meet earlier that morning. This meet will serve as the primary training opportunity for the day, so please register your swimmer as soon as possible.
If you are a USA Swimming official and are available to assist with officiating, we would greatly appreciate your support. Please let us know if you can help.
The meet will begin at 12:30pm with warm-ups and should be completed by 3:00pm
