North Texas Nadadores (NTN) Locker Room Policy

The North Texas Nadadores (NTN) are committed to providing a safe, respectful, and positive environment for all athletes, coaches, and families. The locker rooms and changing areas are shared spaces, and their use is a privilege extended to all team members under specific guidelines designed to ensure safety, privacy, and appropriate conduct.

1. Locker Room Access and Privilege

The use of CISD locker rooms and any other locker rooms utilized by NTN is a privilege granted to swimmers, parents, and coaches during scheduled team activities.
Locker room privileges may be revoked or restricted at any time if misuse, misconduct, or policy violations occur.

2. Appropriate Use

Locker rooms are to be used solely for changing clothes, showering, and restroom use.
Loitering or unnecessary time spent in the locker rooms before, during, or after practice is not permitted. Once athletes are dressed, they are expected to exit the locker room immediately.

3. Supervision and Safety

NTN coaches and staff make every effort to monitor when athletes enter the locker rooms during practices and competitions.
If an athlete does not return to the pool area in a reasonable time frame, parents will be notified.

4. Behavior Expectations

Horseplay, roughhousing, or inappropriate behavior of any kind will not be tolerated in the locker rooms.
Such behavior may result in disciplinary action, up to and including suspension or dismissal from the team.

5. Theft and Personal Belongings

Theft, vandalism, or damage to property will result in immediate disciplinary action and may lead to removal from the team.
Athletes are strongly encouraged not to leave bags, valuables, or personal items in the locker rooms. NTN is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged belongings left in locker rooms or spectator areas.

6. Cell Phones and Recording Devices

The use of cell phones or any recording devices (including those with audio, video, or photo capabilities) is strictly prohibited in locker rooms, restrooms, and other changing areas in accordance with USA Swimming Athlete Protection Policy 305.3.

305.3: Use of audio or visual recording devices, including a cell phone camera, is not allowed in changing areas, restrooms, or locker rooms.

If you observe the use of a cell phone or recording device in these areas, immediately report it to an NTN coach or CISD staff member.

7. Bullying, Harassment, and Misconduct

Bullying, taunting, harassment, or any form of intimidation will not be tolerated in the locker rooms or within the facility.
Any violation may result in disciplinary measures, including potential suspension or dismissal from the team.

8. Parental Access

Parents are Not Permitted to enter locker rooms.
If entry is required (for example, assisting a young child under age eight or an athlete with a disability), parents should use the family bathroom in the hallway at the facility.

9. Reporting Concerns

All NTN members share responsibility for maintaining a safe environment.
If you see or hear any prohibited behavior or witness activity that raises concern, report it immediately to an NTN coach or staff member.

If You See Something or Hear Something — Say Something.
