Please take a moment to review the information below, which includes important schedule notes, upcoming events, and team highlights.
🗓 Practice Changes & Schedule Updates
Due to upcoming high school meets, please note the following schedule adjustments:
- January 15 – High School Swim Meet
- January 17 – High School Swim Meet / Distance Meet (AG2 and above)
We encourage swimmers to stay active and engaged on any modified training days.
❄️ Winter Wonderland Celebration
What a fantastic Winter Wonderland Celebration! Our coaches and swimmers had a wonderful time, and we are so grateful to all of the volunteers who made this special event possible. It was a well-deserved break from the pool and a great way to celebrate our team. A special thank you to Michelle Gallagher for organizing such a fun and memorable experience.
🏊 January 17 Distance Meet – Block Party Meet
On January 17, NTN will host a Block Party Distance Meet for swimmers in AG2 and above. This intrasquad meet will focus on distance racing and provide a unique and valuable competitive opportunity for our athletes.
Meet Highlights
- 200-yard events of each stroke (Fly, Back, Breast)
- 1650 Freestyle for swimmers ages 13 & over
These events are rarely offered in North Texas, and we are excited to give our swimmers the chance to race them in a fun, supportive environment. No outside teams will attend, and the meet is expected to last two hours or less.
📌 Please note: There will be no regular practice on January 17 due to a high school meet that morning. This meet will serve as the primary training opportunity for the day, and all eligible swimmers are expected to participate.

🏆 Why Championship Meets Matter
Championship meets are far more than just another swim meet — they are where swimmers grow into true competitors.
These meets teach athletes how to prepare through tapering, rest, meet routines, and race strategy. They give purpose to months of training and provide the pressure and excitement that help swimmers learn how to perform when it matters most. Championship environments are where confidence is built, breakthroughs happen, and swimmers begin to see the results of their hard work.
Perhaps most importantly, they bring our team together. The energy, support, and shared experience make these meets both meaningful and memorable, helping swimmers stay motivated and excited about the sport.
Regular meets teach swimmers how to swim.
Championship meets teach swimmers how to compete.
