Mission Statement:
Our mission is to provide a safe and supportive environment for competitive swimming for athletes at all levels of ability. We define success as sustained, individual pursuit of excellence bounded only by our swimmers desires and personal abilities, which allows them to be the best they can be, achieve personal goals and have fun in the program.

Our Vision is:

1. To provide the highest quality swim team possible

2. To provide excellence in every aspect of the organization

3. To allow swimmers to experience success as a competitive athlete

4. To create a welcoming and protected environment for children to learn

5. To support the educational requirements of the Tyler ISD programs

Tyler Rose Aquatic Club’s Philosophy

We strive to inspire and enable our swimmers to achieve excellence in the sport of swimming and in life. We believe success starts with a solid work ethic. We are committed to sharing the values of our sport, promoting swimming as a lifelong sport, and engaging young people in healthy activity. We seek to begin a tradition of excellence so that each athlete can fulfill their dreams, whether that is learning to swim or an Olympic medal.

Coach’s Statement

My mission as a coach is to develop your true potential in life. I promise to have an open door policy and be available to you to talk about your needs and dreams. My goal is to encourage athletic skills through individualized instruction, strengthen inner core values and principles, encourage abilities in leadership, fair play and team work, and provide a fun, rewarding and memorable experience. After years of competitive swimming, I as a coach have integral knowledge about swimming and use a wide variety of techniques. We employ extensive dry land and weight training workouts to not only promote strength and endurance but to prevent injury. But swimming is not just working out in the pool, on the deck or in the weight room. We feel we must build not only a well-rounded swimmer but a well-rounded person. As a staff, we constantly work with swimmers to develop individual and team goals, exhibit sportsmanship, and create a positive environment which encourages growth in life skills. Swimming is not just something you experience as a child. What we teach at Tyler Rose Aquatics changes lives.

Program Goals

1. Build each swimmer’s self-esteem and confidence, both in and out of the pool.

2. Provide swimmers with skills to become community leaders.

3. Promote regular physical activity, values and sportsmanship to create a well rounded individual.

4. Teach children the importance that goals can only be achieved by hard work, dedication and persistence.

5. Create a stimulating swimming community where swimmers become better swimmers.
