No swimming Friday, Saturday, Monday; cheers to meet-goers
Hi all,
An important note: we had previously announced no swimming on Friday, Dec. 8, due to the swim meet in Calgary. Unfortunately, two of our coaches are out of town unexpectedly and we are also cancelling swimming on Saturday, Dec. 10 and Monday, Dec. 11. (Sad face emoji)
Good luck to all 25 swimmers who are heading to the Sandy Ferris meet in Calgary this weekend!
Polar Pup meet Dec. 15
Our first Polar Pup meet of the season takes place Friday, Dec. 15, 4-6 pm.
Please put this in the calendar. We'll need a few parents to volunteer as timers and our usual volunteers to jump in to run the races. This meet is for everyone from Dolphins 1 to Sharks. More details to come, but prepare for a fun, low-stress event to help get our youngest swimmers off to the races.
Swimsuit orders due Friday
A reminder that orders for team Arena swimsuits via Overlander Sports are due by Friday, Dec. 8.
To order, fill out your order information on this Google spreadsheet before Dec. 8. Size charts are included on the spreadsheet, or go straight to the Arena website.
Prices are included on the sheet, however Overlander will email everyone individually to confirm orders and costs. Payment can be made when picking up the orders from Overlander or by calling the store.

Raffle tickets
You've likely seen a note from Derek MacKinnon, who's organizing our 50/50 raffle. The draw date is Feb. 10 and more books of 50 tickets are available.
Contact Derek at 867-446-5840 or [email protected] to arrange a time and place to pick up your books.
So far, we have not made any plans for times/places for people to see tickets (i.e. at a table somewhere). If you have ideas and are willing to set this up, please reach out to Derek.
Dec. 23 grocery bagging; Jan. 5 Bingo
We'll hold our first Bingo of 2024 on Friday, Jan. 5. Contact Angie Viloria to sign up: 867-444-1231, [email protected] or message her on Facebook.
Volunteering at bingos is a way to earn cash towards your fundraising requirement (unless you want to just pay the cash).
Angie can answer any questions.
