2024-25 Season Plan (Important Dates)

Hi everyone, 

Thanks to those who were able to join us for the Information Session this weekend. For those who couldn’t make it, please reach out to your swimmer(s) coach or contact [email protected] with any questions. The 2024-25 rates are also posted on the website. 

If you have any questions about what group your swimmer is in, please check out the team roster with the Group Names (e.g. Dolphins, Sharks, Bronze, etc.). You can find the link in the September 15th News item. 

2024-25 Season Plan

Here is the tentative season plan for 2024-25. Please note that with the move to the new Aquatic Centre mid-season, all dates after January are tentative. 

Please contact Coach Carol before booking flights for any meets, and always be sure to purchase cancellation insurance. 

September

September 26-29  -  Swim AB Conference and AGM - Coach Carol out of town

September 30 – Swim Alberta 2024/25 Qualifying Times Released

October 

October 4 - Friday Night at the Races # 1 (Cubs and Above)

October 5 - Doctor Visit/Nutrition Talk (Cubs and Above)

TBD - Officials Course

October 14 - Thanksgiving Monday - No Swimming  (Gold swims Tues-Friday)

October 18-19 - Time Trial – (Sharks and above)

October 26 - Saturday Swimming begins (Sharks and above)

November

November 1 – Friday Night at the Races # 2  (Cubs and above)

November 9 and 11 - Remembrance Day No Swimming (Gold swims Tues-Friday)

November 16 - Swimathon

November 22-24 - Hay River Swim Meet

December

December 6-8 - Candy Cane Meet in Edmonton (possible swim cancellations F/S/M) 

December 13 - Polar Pup # 1 – All Tadpoles and Dolphins

December 20 - Friday Night at the Races #3

December 21 – January 6 - Christmas Break

December 27 - 10K Challenge 

January 

January 3-5 - Senior Frostbite Camp 

January 6 - Swimming resumes for Belugas and above 

January 10-12 - Junior Frostbite Camp

January 13 - Swimming resumes for Dolphins and Tadpoles 

January 24-25 – Swim Alberta Provincial Festivals Meet in Edmonton (12 & Under)

January 31  – Friday Night at the Races # 4 (Sharks and Above)

All further dates are tentative due to opening/ transition to new Aquatic Centre.

February 14-16 – NWT Territorial Meet Yellowknife

May

May 10-12 – YKPBSC Mother’s Day Meet

May 16 – End of season
