Calgary and YKPBSC Swim Meets and Post-Season Swimming

Hi Swim families,

Please note two April 30th deadlines for Bronze-Gold groups. 

Calgary Patriots Summer Classic 2025 Swim Meet (June 7-8)

  • This swim meet is for Bronze, Silver and Gold swimmers.
  • We need to know if you are planning to send your swimmer(s) by April 30th.

  • Please note that there will be no unaccompanied swimmers for this meet.
  • The Club will not be offering chaperons and coordinating meals.
  • If you are unable to attend, we encourage you to reach out to other parents, as you are comfortable, if they can take your swimmer. 

Polar Bears' Mother’s Day Swim Meet (May 9-11)

Our annual Mother’s Day meet will be held in the new Yellowknife Aquatic Center! This meet represents the end of the Club’s season and is a great way to wrap up the year.

  • Swim groups from Dolphins 2 to Gold are included (No Tadpoles or Dolphins 1)
  • Please talk to your coach if you will (or wont) be participating
  • May 16th is the last day of our swim season

Post-Season Swimming

For Bronze, Silver and Gold, the Club will be offering an option to continue swimming past the end of our season (May 16th).

Please note that participation will be at an additional cost, which will be the lane rentals divided across participants.

  • The focus will be on swimmers intending on participating in the Calgary Summer Classic Meet and / or Canada Summer Games
  • Confirmation must be provided to Tyree by April 30, 2025
  • Costs will be billed to swimmers via SportEngine. We will provide more information on exact costs once we know how many swimmers / lanes we will have.

Clean-out Lockers

Please remind your swimmers to clean out all their items from the pool lockers on Wednesday, April 23rd.

50/50 Tickets

We have less than a month before our 50/50 draw and are looking to get an idea of how many tickets we have left to sell. We really want to ensure that we sell all tickets!

  • Hand-in completed books and funds OR
  • Return unsold tickets if you would prefer to pass them on to someone else

There are still slots available for tables – please sign up here: YKPBSC 50/50 table dates 

If we don’t need the spaces, we can give them to other groups.
