Short Course 2025 / 2026 Season

Registration Opens for Existing Families:
Monday August 4th, 2025 at 7:00 PM EST

Open for New Members:
Monday August 11th, 2025 at 7:00 PM EST

The Dublin Community Swim Team Sea Dragons is recreational and competitive swim team that operates under the banner of USA Swimming. The Sea Dragon program runs year round with two major seasons:

• Fall/Winter Session - aka SHORT COURSE season.  The name is because it is primarily swam in an indoor 25 yard pool.  The season runs September - February (for most groups). 
• Spring/Summer Session - aka LONG COURSE season.  The name is because it is swam in both indoor/outdoor 50 meter pools.  This season runs April - June/July (for most groups).

The Sea Dragons are available to both new swim team members (with swim experience) and experienced swim athletes who want to learn how to participate in the sport and who have set high goals.

Members of the team must live within the Dublin School District or be a Dublin City Resident. Registration and additional fees for non-city residents are required to join the team.  Swimmers need a DCRC pass to participate in practice.

Group Placement is determined by ability and age. All new and transfering swimmers must pass an evaluation before they are able to register for the team.

New Swimmer Evaluations (includes Transfer Swimmers)

The Sea Dragons have minimum qualifications to participate in the program. If this is your first time joining our team, you are required to come to an evaluation at the DCRC. At the evaluations, the coach determines if each swimmer is ready for swim team or if they need more personal and fundamental attention through either swim lessons or the youth fitness swimming class. 

**Swimmers TRANSFERRING from another swim team must schedule and attend a swim evaluation.  This will give you an opportunity to meet with Coaching Staff and discuss your training goals.

Fall 2025 Evaluations will be held:

When signing up for an appointment please include:

•        Prior swim experience
•        USA Swimming ID# if you are coming from another USA Swimming club
•        Age of the swimmer
•        Gender of the swimmer

This information will be used to help place the swimmer properly upon evaluation.

Completing an evaluation DOES NOT save your swimmer a seat in the Sea Dragons program.  It allows you to be eligible to register.  Registration is on a first come basis and fills quickly.

Team Registration & Team Fees

Registration begins Monday, August 4th  at 7:00pm for returning swimmers and begins Monday, August 11th at 7pm for new swimmers who have passed their evaluations.

• Returning Swimmers:  Swimmers who were registered with Dublin Community Swim Team (DCST) for the 2025 Long Course season and/or are swam the 2024/25 Short Course season.
• Siblings of Returning Swimmers:  Siblings of swimmers that were registered with DCST for the 2025 Long Course season and/or swam for the 2025/26 Short Course season may also register for 2025 long course season during returning swimmers registration. Siblings of returning swimmers will be placed on waitlist status at the time of registration and will be moved to active/registered status prior to new swimmer registration date, should space permit.
• New Swimmers: Swimmers not registered with DCST for the 2025 Long Course season or they are did not swim the current Short Course season will be able to register for the team during new swimmer registration. Waitlist status will be available for any full groups. 

You must register and pay your swim team training and booster fees through the Dublin Sea Dragons website.

** The DCST Team fee structure will be posted on the DCST Booster website prior to the start of registration for the registration for the season.

Training Groups

The team is organized into several Practice groups based on age and ability. The coaching staff reserves the right to change group placement. Practice schedules, group descriptions, and more will be published on the team website.
