Eric Gerlach


Lead Coach - Bronze

Assistant Coach : Force Prime

Coach Eric brings a lifelong passion for swimming and athlete development to Force Aquatics Swim Team. Born and raised in Naperville, Illinois, Eric began swimming at age 8 and trained with the Maverick Swim Club, where he became a 3x NCSA qualifier, 3x Scholastic All-American, and held multiple age-group records. He competed for Naperville Central High School as a 4x state qualifier and 2015 state champion in the 200 Free Relay.

At Denison University, Eric was a standout collegiate swimmer and member of the 2019 NCAA Division III National Championship team. He earned 8 All-American honors and was a 2x national champion as part of the 800 and 400 Free Relays. He graduated in 2020 with a degree in Psychology and Mathematics, and later earned his master's in School Counseling from Ohio State in 2022.

Eric began coaching in 2014 and has worked with swimmers of all ages, from summer league athletes to NCAA-level competitors. Since joining Force Aquatics in 2022, he has primarily led the Bronze Group (14 & Under), where he combines technical instruction with a focus on personal growth, life skills, and a fun, inclusive environment.

Outside the pool, Eric serves as a high school counselor and district testing coordinator at the Arts & College Preparatory Academy. His interests include painting, music, video games, and writing. He lives in Lewis Center with his wife Natalie—also a Denison swim alum—and their two cats, Joey and Luna.

Kylie Baker

Assistant Coach : Force Prime

Kylie is a swim coach with Force Aquatics Swim Team, bringing years of experience and a lifelong love of the sport. Growing up in Medina, Ohio, she swam competitively for the Cleveland Swim Institute and Highland High School. Her coaching journey includes leading the Blue Heron Piranhas, teaching swim lessons, and coaching club swim at Ohio State.

Kylie is passionate about helping swimmers grow in skill and confidence while fostering a supportive, positive environment. She finds joy in watching athletes reach personal bests and develop a lasting love for the sport.
Outside the pool, Kylie enjoys reading, spending time outdoors, and being with family and friends. She currently works at Dodd Rehabilitation Hospital and plans to pursue graduate school to become a physical therapist.
