Summer Swim Meet #3: Olympic Dreams Swim Meet

Forty of our swimmers (a team record) dove into action at our third summer swim meet on Friday, July 26th! It was a blast watching our swimmers tackle new events and make incredible progress from our previous meet. A special congratulations to those who competed in their very first meet: Hannah Nasiri and Sophia Su

Hats off to our top 3 biggest time drops:

• Luke Kellis: An astounding 12-second improvement in the 25 Breast (24.4%)

• Adam Kao: A dazzling 8-second improvement in the 25 Fly (22.6%)

• Rhosyn Thomas: A fantastic 10-second improvement in the 25 Back (22.3%)

A huge thank you to all the parents who volunteered with timing and prizes. We hope every swimmer had a blast and is pumped for our final meet on August 9th in the outdoor pool! Competing can be intense, but we hope each swimmer had a positive and uplifting experience.

End of Season + Tentative Fall Practice Times

As our spectacular summer season comes to a close after our final swim meet on August 9th, our swimmers will take a well-deserved short break before diving back in for our fall season starting on Wednesday, September 4th. We’re hoping  to see all our summer swimmers continue their journey with either our developmental team or USA team in the fall!

We’re working hard to keep our practice times consistent, but with our team growing stronger and bigger, we might need to make slight adjustments each year to accommodate our rising number of athletes. Check out the link to our tentative fall schedule below.

Life Time Swim Team Oregon Group Descriptions

We’re currently finalizing fall group placements. Most swimmers will stay in their current groups, with our 8&U summer swim team members coached by Coach Danny moving to Development 1, and our 9&O summer swim team members coached by Coach Julie moving to Development 2.

We’ll be reaching out to swimmers receiving group promotions before the summer season wraps up on August 9th. Remember, while group descriptions outline the “requirements” for each level, all placement decisions are ultimately at the discretion of our coaching staff.

Let’s keep the momentum and excitement going as we transition into an incredible fall season!

Fall Registration:

We are currently setting up online registration for the Fall that allows you to register your athlete through the app.  It should be available on August 12th.  All returning swimmers will need to re-register through the app to secure their spot on the team. I will send out a QRG showing families how to complete online registration once it is up and running.   

Final Summer Swim Meet:

Get ready for an unforgettable event! Join us for the Summer Swim Meet #4: Summer Finale on Friday, August 9th, at our outdoor lap pool. This thrilling meet will mark the exciting conclusion of our season, and we want you all there to celebrate a fantastic summer with us!

Summer USA Meets (USA Team):

Good luck to our USA team swimmers at the GAC End of the Season Meet on August 3rd and 4th! We can't wait to see our athletes give it their all and end this competition season on a high note! Stay tuned—I'll be sending out all the essential information to our participating athletes tomorrow.
