Practice Update – Location Changes for Tonight

Danny Weinberg

Hello Team,

I hope you're doing well!

We wanted to let you know that the indoor lesson pool, where our Developmental team typically swims, will be closed tonight. However, we’re pleased to share that we can still hold practice at the usual times:

Development 1: 4:30–5:15 in the Indoor Lap Pool
Development 2: 5:45–6:45 in the Indoor Lap Pool
Bronze: 4:30–5:30 in the Outdoor Lap Pool
Silver: 5:30–6:45 in the Outdoor Lap Pool
Gold: 5:30–7:00 in the Outdoor Lap Pool

As of this morning, the outdoor lap pool was comfortably warm at 85 degrees, and the air temperature is expected to be in the low 50s. Swimming outside in cooler weather is common, and many USA teams in our area train outdoors year-round!

What to Bring If You are Swimming Outside:

To ensure swimmers stay warm, please make sure they:

  • Dress warmly with footwear and layers to travel between the indoor and outdoor pool decks.
  • Bring all required gear for outdoor practice. If any gear is borrowed, please return it to the indoor storage bins at the end of practice.

Arrival Details:

All swimmers should aim to meet the coaches on the indoor pool deck first, and we will head outside together.

  • Bronze: Arrive at 4:20. Coach Julie will walk the group outside a few minutes before 4:30.
  • Silver/Gold: Arrive at 5:20. Coach Danny will walk the group out just before 5:30.
  • If you have a swimmer aged 12 & under and they arrive late, a parent must walk them out to the outdoor pool deck.

If you have any questions, feel free to reach out! We’re not yet sure when the lesson pool will reopen, but we’ll keep you updated as we learn more.

Thanks for your understanding and flexibility!

See you at the pool,

Coach Danny
