LT Swimmers Shine at Oregon 10&U and 11-14 State Championships!

February was an exciting month for LT swimmers, with our athletes making waves at both the 10&U State Championships in Springfield and the 11-14 State Championships in Beaverton! These meets are major milestones for developing swimmers, and we couldn't be prouder of the dedication and effort our athletes put in.

10&U State Championship Highlights (February 22-23)

Three of our young swimmers qualified for the 10&U State Championships—a huge achievement that speaks to their hard work and perseverance. Here’s how they performed:

  • Vincent Schremer: Competed in his first-ever State Championship, racing in the 25- and 50-yard freestyle. He had a solid time drop in his 50 free and gained valuable experience at this high-level meet.

 

  • Adam Kao: In his second State Championship appearance, Adam competed in six events, achieving major time drops in most of his races. He placed 7th in the 200 IM and finished in the top 16 in multiple events—a fantastic performance!

 

  • Patrick Schremer: Racing in his second-to-last 10&U Championship, Patrick competed in six events, making big improvements across the board. He secured new qualifying times for the 11-year-old age group and finished 8th in the 200 freestyle, with top-16 finishes in multiple events.

We are incredibly proud of these young swimmers and excited for their bright futures in the sport!

 

 

11-14 State Championship Highlights (February 27-March 2)

LT swimmers also made a strong showing at the 11-14 State Championships in Beaverton, finishing 23rd out of 60 USA Swimming teams—an amazing result for a team that’s less than two years old! Our swimmers gained valuable experience and are already looking forward to the Summer Long Course State Championships in July!

Here are the standout performances from the meet:

  • Simon Boariu: Simon finaled (top 10) in all six of his races, dropping time in every event! His highlights included a 5-second drop in the 100 Fly and a 7-second drop in the 200 IM, with his highest finish being 3rd place in the 100 Fly! He also achieved new NW Age Group Regional qualifying times in the 50 Fly, 100 Fly, 100 IM, and 200 IM! While we won’t be attending NWAG Regionals this season, we’re excited to bring Simon, Elowyn—and hopefully a few others—in 2026!

 

  • Elowyn Thomas: Elowyn qualified for the maximum six events—a huge accomplishment! As one of the youngest competitors in the meet, she held her own, making finals in three events (100 Fly, 100 IM, 200 IM) and finishing 8th in all three! She also achieved NWAG Regional qualifying times in the 100 Fly and 200 IM!

Our swimmers put in an incredible amount of work this season, and we couldn’t be prouder of what they’ve accomplished. We can’t wait to see what’s next for this hardworking group—bring on the summer season!

 

 

Congratulations to Our February Swimmers of the Month!

We’re excited to announce the swimmers who earned the "Swimmer of the Month" awards for February:

  • Development 1: Sophia Su
     

  • Development 2: Dexter Thomas
     

  • Bronze: Adam Kao
     

  • Silver/Gold: Elowyn Thomas
     

Each of these swimmers showed outstanding sportsmanship, a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and a true commitment to our team throughout the past month! They will all receive a special Life Time Oregon Swim Team "Swimmer of the Month" swim cap!

Be sure to congratulate them when you see them on deck!
