Good Luck to Simon at Western Age Group Zones!

We’re incredibly proud of Gold Group swimmer Simon Boariu, who will travel to Elk Grove, California tomorrow as one of 60 athletes selected to represent Team Oregon at the 2025 Western Age Group Zones Meet. This prestigious event brings together the top 11–14-year-old swimmers from across the Western United States.

Simon will compete in six events: the 50, 100, and 200 Freestyle, as well as the 50, 100, and 200 Backstroke. His selection is a testament to his hard work, dedication, and outstanding performance this season.

Congratulations, Simon! We’re cheering you on and can’t wait to hear about your experience. Go Team Oregon!

GAC Season Finale Meet Recap:

Congratulations to our 6 athletes that competed at the GAC End of Season Meet in Camas, WA on August 2nd and 3rd.  Our swimmers swam hard and dropped a lot of time!  Here are the highlights:

Jasper Chang: Great meet achieving 10&U state times in the 50 and 100 Breaststroke!  Jasper’s breaststroke has made significant progress this summer!

Bella Jones:  Bella challenged herself by swimming a great 400 freestyle- her first time.  She also dropped 9 seconds from last summer in the 100 Breast!

Nora Nicolai:  Nora swam her first two day meet, a huge accomplishment in itself.  Her 100 Free, was four seconds faster than her converted best time in yards!

Henry Shaffer:  Henry had strong swims across the board.  His 50 Fly was 7.5 seconds faster than he went at this meet last summer!

Niki Shahbeigi:  Niki has been working hard and has continued to get faster!  Niki’s 100 IM was 12 seconds faster than her converted yards time!  She also set a new 9-10 girls team record in the 50 short course meter breaststroke race!

Dexter Thomas:  Dexter continues to work hard and improve.  His fly stood out as a stroke that has come a long way in the past few months!

We’ve had a great summer competition season, with so many highlights!  We’re excited to get back after it in the fall!
