We are excited to kick off our fall season on Wednesday, September 3rd! Please read through this message carefully so you are ready to go.

This message includes:

Fall Swim Team Information

Our fall season begins Wednesday, September 3rd.

The final practice schedule is posted below and linked HERE.   

Please note that all practice times (except Developmental 2) were moved back 15 minutes each evening to help swimmers arrive on time given the later Beaverton School District dismissal. We understand that some swimmers will still be late every so often, and we ask that they quickly enter the water upon their arrival.  

Swimmers should attempt to be on deck 10 minutes before practice for team meetings, stretching, and light dryland.

Equipment Reminder
With many new swimmers, we do not have extra team gear for everyone. Please review your group’s list here: [FALL EQUIPMENT LISTS] and purchase the required items before the season begins.

  • Coaches will not leave their group to get missing gear for athletes that don’t have it.
     

  • We have some available caps that will be distributed to new swimmers during the first week.  All swimmers will receive a new silicone cap in October.
     

Billing Information

  • Monthly dues will be billed on the 1st of each month, starting September 1st.
     

  • A once-per-year $60 admin fee per swimmer will be charged in October. This covers t-shirts, caps, prizes, and other program reinvestments.
     

 

 

USA Swimming Registration (New Policy)

Beginning September 2025, all swimmers (developmental team included) must be registered with USA Swimming. This ensures insurance coverage and access to USA Swimming meets.

  • Developmental 1 & 2 → Flex Membership ($30, valid through Dec 31, 2026). Includes up to two USA meets; upgrade available if needed.
     

  • Bronze, Silver, Gold → Premium Membership ($92, valid through Dec 31, 2026).
     

Important Notes:

  • Current USA Swimming members must renew by Dec 31, 2025.
     

  • A new registration link will be sent out on September 1st. Swimmers must complete registration before their first practice. Our insurance is void if we have one unregistered athlete in the water! 
     

  • Transfers from another USA club require a transfer form in the USA Swimming app. Please reach out if you need help.
     

 

 

Upcoming Meets and Registration Deadlines

We have several meets in September and October. Please note that many meets outside of Life Time are OPENS, meaning entry is first-come-first-serve until filled. Deadlines ensure coaches can submit entries on time and give ourselves the best chance to be accepted.  

Expectations

  • Gold: attend all USA meets
     

  • Silver: at least 1 USA meet per month
     

  • Bronze: at least 1 USA meet every other month
     

  • Developmental 1 & 2: focus on Life Time developmental meets until invited to USA meets
     

Forest Grove Season Opener Pentathlon

  • Meet Dates: Sept. 27–28
     

  • Registration Deadline: Sept. 9
     

  • An email was sent Aug. 31 to eligible swimmers
     

Chehalem Swim Team Harvest Open

  • Meet Dates: Oct. 17–19
     

  • Registration Deadline: Sept. 12
     

  • An email was sent Aug. 31 to eligible swimmers
     

Developmental Meet at Life Time

  • Friday, Oct. 4

Become an Official – We Need You!

Every meet requires trained officials. Without them, swimmers’ times will not count, and teams without officials may not be invited.

Why Volunteer?

Oregon Swimming recommends one official for every 10 athletes. With our team’s growth, we need more help—we currently have only two officials. If you are interested, please contact me and I will help you get started.
