Our team is a year-round competitive USA Swimming team offering high quality, professional coaching and technique instruction for all ages and abilities. The goal of our team is to promote a lifetime of wellness through the sport of swimming in a safe and inclusive environment.

What a fantastic start to our fall season! It’s been wonderful to see so much positivity and enthusiasm on deck—let’s keep the momentum going!

Equipment Reminder:


With many new swimmers, we do not have extra team gear for everyone. Please review your group’s list here: [FALL EQUIPMENT LISTS] and purchase the required items before the season begins.

  • Coaches will not leave their group to get missing gear for athletes that don’t have it.
     

  • We have some available caps that will be distributed to new swimmers during the first week.  All swimmers will receive a new silicone cap in October.

 

Billing Reminder: 

  • Monthly dues will be billed on the 1st of each month.
     

  • A once-per-year $60 admin fee per swimmer will be charged in October. This covers t-shirts, caps, prizes, and other program reinvestments.

  • If you decide to leave the team, please note that Life Time requires a 30-day notice to cancel a recurring payment.

 

USA Swimming Registration:

Thank you all for promptly completing your USA Swimming registrations!

A quick reminder:

  • Many returning swimmers still have memberships set to expire on 12/31/2025. These must be renewed before that date. I’ll send reminders as we get closer to ensure no one misses the deadline.
     

  • If you registered a new swimmer this season, their membership will remain active until 12/31/2026.  

 

 

Upcoming Meets and Registration Deadlines

We have several meets coming up in September and October. Please note that many meets outside of Life Time are open meets, which means entries are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis until full. Entry deadlines are important because they give coaches enough time to submit entries and ensure we have the best chance of being accepted. For outside meets, deadlines are typically 3–6 weeks before the competition.

Meet Expectations

  • Gold: Attend all USA Swimming meets
     

  • Silver: Participate in at least one USA Swimming meet per month
     

  • Bronze: Participate in at least one USA Swimming meet every other month
     

  • Developmental 1 & 2: Focus on Life Time developmental meets until invited to USA meets
     

Meet Sign-Up Process
I usually send 2–3 system-generated email invitations for each meet as reminders. Families can register directly through those emails or by visiting our meet schedule on the website.

If you know your swimmer will not attend a particular meet, you can simply “decline” the invitation. This will remove you from the “undeclared” list and stop further reminder emails for that meet.

Forest Grove Season Opener Pentathlon

  • Meet Dates: Sept. 27–28
     

  • Registration Deadline: Sept. 9
     

  • An email was sent Sep. 5th to eligible swimmers
     

Chehalem Swim Team Harvest Open

  • Meet Dates: Oct. 17–19
     

  • Registration Deadline: Sept. 12
     

  • An email was sent Sept. 5th to eligible swimmers
     

Developmental Meet at Life Time

  • Friday, Oct. 4

Become an Official – We Need You!

Every meet requires trained officials. Without them, swimmers’ times will not count, and teams without officials may not be invited.

Why Volunteer?

Oregon Swimming recommends one official for every 10 athletes. With our team’s growth, we need more help—we currently have only two officials. If you are interested, please contact me and I will help you get started.
