Oregon Swimming Time Standards
The Oregon Swimming State Time Standards for the 2025–2026 season have been finalized! You can view them by clicking [HERE].
A few important notes:
-
SCY (Short Course Yards): Nearly all meets during the fall and winter are held in short course yards, so swimmers should use the SCY standards for reference.
-
SCM (Short Course Meters) meets are rare in Oregon, and LCM (Long Course Meters) standards are primarily used for spring and summer meets.
-
State qualifying times (OSI Championship times) cannot be achieved at Life Time Developmental Meets—they must be swum at USA Swimming–sanctioned competitions.
Achieving a qualifying time in the appropriate age group allows swimmers to compete in the Oregon State Championships. The championship dates for this season are as follows:
-
OSI 10 & Under Championships: February 21–22, Springfield, OR
-
OSI 11–14 Championships: March 5–8, Beaverton, OR
-
OSI Senior Championships: March 19–22, Beaverton, OR (Requires a 14-year-old state qualifying time to participate)
We strongly encourage all qualifiers to participate and hope that those who already have qualifying times have made plans to be available for their respective championship meets.
Upcoming USA Meets
We have three upcoming USA Swimming meets open for registration. Deadlines are quickly approaching, so please sign up as soon as possible. Once registration closes, we likely will not be able to add swimmers.
HEAT Age Group Jubilee (Qualifiers Only)
December 12–14 – Hillsboro
Registration Deadline: November 18
This is a qualifying meet, meaning swimmers must have achieved the required qualifying times to participate. Qualifying times can be found on the meet page. This meet is primarily intended for Gold Group swimmers and a few Silver Group swimmers who have met the time standards. It is a prelim/final format, meaning the top swimmers from the morning prelims will return to compete in evening finals. All qualifiers are strongly encouraged to participate in finals if they advance.
HEAT Winter Invite
December 13–14 – Hillsboro
Registration Deadline: November 18
This meet is open to all 14 & Under swimmers who did not qualify for the Jubilee. It will take place in the afternoon on Saturday and Sunday. The meet will have a low-key, developmental atmosphere and is ideal for swimmers in Developmental 1, Developmental 2, Bronze, and Silver Groups.
Chehalem Shark Chase
January 2–4 – Newberg
Registration Deadline: November 15
This meet is open to the entire team. However, for Developmental swimmers, we recommend choosing the HEAT Winter Invite over the Chehalem Meet if possible, as it provides a more suitable competitive environment.
