The first step in joining TTSC is to come to one of our scheduled team tryouts. These are held throughout the year and the dates will be posted on the front page of our website.

A tryout does not guarantee a spot on the team. Our coaches will ask swimmers to do the following during their tryout:

• Demonstrate the ability to follow instructions in a group setting
• Complete a 45 minute practice
• Know all four competitive strokes
• Have a solid foundation of breath control
• Body balance in the water
• Streamline

Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your assigned tryout slot.  Your swimmer should arrive with their swimsuit (no boardshorts or two piece suits), towel and goggles. Swimmers with long hair must wear a hair tie or swim cap to keep their hair out of their face. Locker rooms are available if your swimmer needs to change when you arrive. You will check in at the spectator area when you arrive. There is no fee to tryout.

After tryouts are complete, coaches will meet to discuss their evaluations and determine swimmer placements.  The New Swimmer Coordinator will send you an email with the tryout results within 48 hours.
