Skill #2
Timed object retrieval. Without goggles, participants swim 20 yards, surface dive to a 7-10 foot depth, retrieve a 10-pound object, surface with the object and swim on their back to the starting point while holding the object in both hands. Participants then exit the water without the use of ladders, stairs or ramps. The skill must me completed in one (1) minute and forty (40) seconds or less.

It is strongly recommended that participants practice these skills prior to the first class meeting as refunds are only available up to 10 days before the course. Participants who are unable to complete the prerequisite skills after the second attempt may transfer to another course at no charge if space is available. However, additional seats will not be added if courses are at capacity.
