Mission Statement

St. Louis Tsunami Swimming is a community swim team organized and run by parents to meet the needs of families who want their child(ren) to swim with a small club of approximately 60 swimmers.  St. Louis Tsunami Swimming is committed to providing a small club experience where swimmers age 5 to 18 years of age are developed at a pace consistent with their needs and goals.  St. Louis Tsunami Swimming encourages all swimmers to participate in meets and fosters a wide range of competiveness.  St. Louis Tsunami Swimming is a not-for-profit organization that seeks to maintain an affordable cost structure and, where appropriate and possible, subsidize the clubs fees for those unable to pay.

 

Our Coaches

Head Coach - KyanneRuth Williams

KyanneRuth Williams, Head Coach, brings a dynamic blend of competitive experience, coaching expertise, and educational leadership to the St. Louis Tsunami Swim Team. As a student-athlete at Webster University, KyanneRuth earned multiple reginal and conference honors for Cross Country and Track while pursuing double Degrees in International Relations and International Human Rights with a minor in Gernman. A dedicated mentor, KyanneRuth is the Head Swim Coach at Nerinx Hall High School and an Assistant Cross Country Coach at Affton High School. Her coaching philosophy emphasizes individualized training, technical development, and fostering a positive team culture. With a proven track record of helping swimmers reach their full potential, she is passionate about building both strong athletes and confident individuals. Outside of coaching, KyanneRuth serves as an English Language Learning Teacher at an elementary school, where she supports newly arrived students in mastering foundational English speaking skills. Her diverse background in coaching, education, and athletics makes her a well-rounded leader who inspires excellence in and out of the water.

Assistant Coach - Lauren Clark

Lauren Clark brings a wealth of experience as both a former NCAA Division I swimmer and a dedicated mentor to her role as Assistant Coach with the St. Louis Tsunami Swim Team. A standout student-athlete at Southern Illinois University, Lauren served as team captain and helped lead her team through competitive seasons while also earning a degree in Accounting with a minor in American Sign Language. Her coaching journey began in college at Nike Swim Camp, where she worked closely with young swimmers to improve technique and build confidence. Beyond the pool, Lauren works as an Internal Auditor for a cellular company. Her technique focused approach and passion for swimming make her an invaluable part of the Tsunami coaching staff.
