REQUIRED FUNDRAISING
Each family is required to fundraise a minimum of $400 in 2025 (Family Fundraising Obligation). We offer several club fundraisers. The net income generated for the Club by a family counts toward their obligation. Each family will be billed at year end for any remaining portion of the $400. If a family joins the team during the year, the amount will be prorated. While the club is VERY grateful for families who raise more than the minimum required, we do not carry over fundraising credit to the following year.
Our largest fundraisers include:
Sponsorship Drive - Takes place January through May each year. Team Sponsors are recognized in every monthly team newsletter and on a banner at the Arcata Community Pool. For every family that secures a team sponsor, 50% of sponsorship funds raised goes toward your family fundraising requirement for the year.
Creepy Crawl Lap-a-Thon - Takes place in October of each year. The Creepy Crawl is a lap-a-thon style event where swimmers find donors to sponsor either a per-lap amount or a lump sum amount. On the day of the event, swimmers swim a preset number of laps based on their practice group. The event also includes a potluck and costume contest. This fundraiser also includes exclusive team gear and prizes for fundraising participants!
