Welcome to Mavericks Swimming!
Mavericks Swimming Association is a 501(c)(3) Nonprofit Public Benefit Corporation located in Half Moon Bay, California since 1998. Our mission is to grow a thriving swimming program for all levels and ages in our community.
Each year Mavericks Swim Club trains over 150 young athletes from elementary school to high school. Our certified and credentialed coaches provide year-round, age-specific practice groups to challenge and develop each swimmer to the best of their ability. Participation in local swim meets is encouraged but not required. Practices are available every weekday and Saturday. Swimmers can attend as many practices as they want. We offer scholarships for those that qualify.
Each week Mavericks Adult Lap Swim offers twenty hours of lifeguard supervised pool time to over two hundred residents of Half Moon Bay for training, physical fitness, and rehabilitation.
For over twenty-five years, Mavericks Swimming Association has maintained and funded the Cabrillo Unified School District pool, making it possible for Half Moon Bay High School to offer swim and water polo teams for hundreds of students, as well as swim and water safety classes to all students as part of the school's physical education program.
Throughout the year, Mavericks Swimming Association sponsors the Half Moon Bay Boys and Girls Club, the Half Moon Bay Junior Lifeguards, the San Mateo County “Learn to Swim” program, and numerous other community organizations.
See you at the pool!
