AAC Family,
Thanks to your support in the first round of voting, Coach Kristina is now a Championship Round Finalist for SwimStrong Dryland Senior Coach of the Year! Over 21,000 votes were cast in the first round, and Kristina has advanced as one of the top 5 finalists.
Now we need your help again!
Voting will close on Sunday, February 22nd at 9:00 pm EST. Winners will be selected based on a combination of public voting, coaches’ votes, and SSDL leadership votes.
The Coach of the Year selection is made internally by SSDL program leadership and is based on several core factors, including overall team performance and athlete development, consistent engagement and involvement with the SSDL program, and — most importantly — coaches who best represent the program from a character and leadership standpoint.
Within swimming, Coach of the Year recognition is not simply about win–loss records or results at a single meet. It reflects sustained commitment to athlete growth, professionalism on deck, and modeling the values the program aims to instill in athletes. Coaches are evaluated on how they lead, support their athletes and peers, and contribute positively to the overall culture of the program.
