POLICIES AND PROCEDURES

COVID GUIDELINES

What do I do if my swimmer tests positive for COVID?

In the event that your swimmer tests positive for COVID, please contact [email protected] as well as your MAKO coach. We ask that you keep your swimmer home for 5 days following either the onset of symptoms or the positive test. After five days, your swimmer can return to MAKO activities with a negative test. If your swimmer tests positive on the 5th day, we ask that they remain home for an additional five days.

What do I do if my swimmer had close contact with someone with COVID?

The CDC defines close contact as someone who was less than 6 feet away from an infected person (laboratory-confirmed or a clinical diagnosis) for a cumulative total of 15 minutes or more over a 24-hour period (for example, three individual 5-minute exposures for a total of 15 minutes). If your swimmer falls into this category, please click HERE to use the CDC Covid Quarantine and Isolation Calculator.
