I have been swimming for most of my life starting with swimming lessons at the age of 3 and then joining the Orcas at the age of 7 to swim competitively. I continued to swim with the Orcas until I was 18 years old, and then swam one season with the LASC before heading to university. I graduated in June 2023 from the University of Lethbridge with a Bachelors of Science and Degree in Neuroscience. During my undergraduate degree I trained and competed with the Pronghorns Swim Team. This will be my fourth year coaching with the Orcas and my third year returning as the Head Coach. My favourite memories as a swimmer are having fun with my teammates at swim meets every weekend; some of my greatest friendships to this day stemmed from bonding at swim meets. I also appreciated the competitive environment at swim meets that gave me the opportunity to showcase my skills. My goal for this season is to help my swimmers excel in their abilities and to gain confidence in their swimming and racing. I am really looking forward to a fun and fast season this year!

I am very excited to be coaching the Orcas. I have been swimming since I was 8 years old and I just retired from the Pronghorns. I started out swimming with the summer club in Camrose. In this club I was able to build relationships with my teammates and coaches. My coaches made practices as fun as possible and with this, I was able to grow closer with my teammates as we would laugh over a joke our coaches would tell us. I find that this was very important because if the kids are having fun then they will continue to love the sport. I have 5 years of coaching experience and a few years of mentoring. I was able to see what makes a good coach and to help swimmers grow and become stronger swimmers. Watching them succeed is as much fun for me as it is for them. I am looking forward to being a good asset to the team and what the upcoming season holds.

This is my second summer coaching the Orcas and fourteenth year being a part of the club. Spending all of my summers as a member of the club from 2007 until 2019, when I graduated and chose to pursue volleyball at Brandon University. After graduating in 2024, I went to finish my volleyball career at the University of Alberta. During my time in Brandon and Edmonton, I took it upon myself to begin coaching with the local club volleyball organization. Ever since then, I have loved every second of coaching. Once Volleyball had been completed I have since taken up a passion for endurance sports specifically Triathlons. My time as an Orca will always be remembered by the friendships I made along the way and I hope to create a space for athletes to grow and create lasting memories just as I did during my time with the club.
