Lethbridge Orcas 2022 Season

Lethbridge Summer Swim Club Registration Letter

Hello Past Orca Families,

We are VERY excited to welcome you back for our summer swim club season. The board has been busy planning and preparing for the upcoming season! We hoped to share a bit of information about what families can expect this year.

We are thinking POSITIVE and are expecting a more typical summer swim season. We are able to participate in a few swim meets this year and we will have more swimmers in the pool. We are also planning for a Masters program this year, depending on enrollment.

Volunteering will be EXCEPTIONALLY important this season. Many of our veteran swimmers have aged out, leaving a new and younger group of swimmers. The board has developed a volunteer policy in which each family is required to volunteer a minimum of ten hours. We will require parents to volunteer for the board, swim meets and/or be trained as officials, this is EXTREMELY important. Please mark your calendar for June 10th and 11th for our Casino fundraiser.

The current plan is to return to the pool on May 2nd, 2022.

We appreciate your patience and support as we navigate through these next months of returning to safe swimming for our swimmers, coaches, families and volunteers. Please stay tuned for ongoing updates. Orcas Board will adjust to any new government and Swim Alberta guidance and inform our Orcas families.

Early Registration March 1 to 15, 2021

In order to identify the number of interested swimmers, we will be opening online registration for returning swimmers and families. Registration at this time will be for children 5 to 18 years of age. Please register early to save your spot(s).

Fees

We will have online registration this year paid only by credit card.

We will request a $250 cheque to cover the fundraising deposit for the first day of swimming. At the end of the swim season, if fundraising requirements have been met this cheque will not be cashed, similar to previous years.

Swimmers will not be able to enter the pool until fees are paid and fundraising cheque is handed in.
