Crestmoor Swim & Dive Team

Summer 2026

Welcome to The Crestmoor Swim Team!

Whether training for a personal best race time or simply refining a stroke, there’s no doubt that your kids will love the camaraderie unique to Crestmoor aquatics.  The only requirement for swim team participation is that swimmers be able to swim one length of the big pool (25-meters).  After that requirement, all skills and abilities are welcome!

Age Divisions

Swim Team members practice and compete within their age division.  Each age division has a swim coach that guides swimmers through the season with a technique-driven training plan as well as provides feedback during and after the meets.  The age groups are as follows based on the swimmers age as of May 15th:

  8-years old and under (8&under)

  9 & 10 year olds (10&under)

  11 & 12 year olds (12&under)

  Upper Division (13+)

How to Determine A Swimmers Age - Your swimmers age as of May 15th will determine the age group which he/she competes.  For example, if your child is 10 years old on May 15th, but turns 11 on May 16, they will compete in the 10 & Under age group as a 10 year old all summer long.  If they turn 11 on May 15th, they will swim as an 11 year old in the 12 & Under age group.

Training

Pre-season is completely optional, but highly encouraged.  Swimmers can attend as many pre-season practices as their schedule allows to get a jump on conditioning and technique.  During regular season, practice runs Monday thru Thursday with dual swim meets on Friday Mornings.  In addition to regular practice, Stroke Clinic is offered Monday thru Thursday.  This clinic is open to all swimmers on the team and is a great time to work on strokes and race technique in more detail.  Stroke clinic is completely optional and included in your swim team fees.

Practice times Monday -Thursday

11-18 year olds 7:00 am to 8:30 am (if 11-12 year olds can't make it at 7:00 am they can come at 7:30, coaches are flexible)

10 - U 8:30 am to 10:00 am

Stroke Clinic 10:00 to 10:30 am

Competition

Crestmoor is part of the Metro League and all of our dual-club meets are against other clubs in the league which include Eastmoor, Skyline, Central Park, & Virginia Vale.  Anyone and everyone on swim team is encourage to swim and cheer on their teammates in the dual meets.  Each swimmer can participate in up to three individual events and two relays at a dual meet.  Ribbons are also awarded after the meets based on gender and age group.  The season ends with B League and/or two qualifying meets, where swimmers must achieve qualifying times to participate.  Those meets are the Metro League Championship (A League Meet) and the State Swim Championship.
