Welcome to Crestmoor Dive Team!

Whether your child is a beginner or an experienced diver, we welcome you to join the Crestmoor Dive Team!  Divers will learn basic skills for safe springboard diving and have many chances to exhibit these skills by competing in dive meets that are judged by age and gender groupings.  Ribbons are awarded at the end of each dual-club meet and there is an opportunity to qualify for the League and State Championships as well! 

Training

Similar to swimming, dive team pre-season training is completely optional, but highly encouraged!  All divers can attend as many pre-season practices as possible to get a jump on their dives.  During regular season, practice runs Monday thru Thursday with swim meets a

fter practice on Thursdays.   Warm up for meets is usually around noon 

with the meet running from approximately 1 - 3 pm.

Competition

Crestmoor Dive Team is part of the Metro League Diving association and all of our dual-club meets are against other clubs in the league which include Eastmoor, Skyline, Central Park, & Virginia Vale.  Divers compete against others of the same age and gender.  Divers perform a number of dives depending on their age group with ribbons awarded at the end.  The age groups and number of dives competed are as follows:

 

   8 & under - 3 dives

   10 & under - 4 dives

   12 & under - 5 dives

   Upper Division (13+) - 6 dives

 

Dive Team Fee's 

Dive team fee's will be billed to your CCA account and include an aquatics T-shirt.  $300 Members & $450 Non-Members.  Sign up for Swim & Dive Team and save $50 ($550 Member / $850 Non-Member)
