2025 Coaching Staff

Head Coach Jake Anderson  - Coach Jake comes to us with a decade of Summer Swim coaching experience in the NVSL, and 5 years of experience working year-round with USA Swimming.

Many of you may already know Coach Jake from his current full-time position with Nation's Capital Swim Club right around the corner at their Burke site, where he coaches the Silver 2, Bronze 1 PM, Bronze 2 AM, and Bronze 3 AM groups.  Jake started with NCAP at Burke Racquet and Swim Club back in 2007-2008 when he was just a Silver-level swimmer himself. He continued his training there until graduating high school, going on to be a Jr. National gold medalist and earning himself a scholarship at St. Andrews University where he would be a NAIA National finalist in the 50 Free and 100 Breast.

Coach Jake’s passion for coaching began as a high schooler at his neighborhood pool, Rolling Forest, where he first coached the Tidal Waves as Assistant Head Coach from 2010-2014. His first experience coaching with USA Swimming came in 2013-2014 at college where he took on a part time position assisting in the creation of a brand-new team—the St. Andrews Sand Sharks, taking on the 11-14 year-old practice group. After graduating college Coach Jake was thrilled to have the opportunity to dive back into his passion for the sport as a Full-Time coach with NCAP, and happy to have helped the first Summer team he swam for as an 11-year-old successfully rebuild their program after the 2020 pandemic shut-down.

Coach is looking forward to his second Summer with the Burke Centre Penguins!
